Objectives:

This module will focus on word processing in the following outcomes:

Learning Outcome 1
Use UH Webmail to send and receive attachments Complete MyItLab projects using Microsoft® Word (Chapters 2, 3 and 4 in the text and MyItLab Projects 5, 6, and 7.)

Learning Outcome 2
Use the operating system (Vista) to create folders and manage files
Use the operating system to sort and find/search for files
Use operating system to manage resources such as the printer
Be able to log-in and shut-down a computer

Learning Outcome 3
Use a browser for Web-based e-mail
Use a search engine to locate sources of information

Learning Outcome 4
Define, explain, and demonstrate proper computer terminology usage (Chaper 1, Part 1)
Complete online terminology quiz (on terminology and Word concepts)

In-class Activities
